What is an Expert Advisor?

An Expert Advisor (EA) is a program that trades on MetaTrader by itself, following fixed rules.

What it does

It reads prices, checks its rules, and opens or closes trades without a person clicking. It does not get tired and it does not panic.

What it cannot do

An EA can still lose money. Markets change and a rule that worked before can stop working. Some methods, like grids and martingale, can look safe for a long time and then lose a lot at once.

How to judge one

• Look for a verified track record, not screenshots.
• Check maximum drawdown and trade count.
• Ask how it handles losing trades.
